The New England Hindu Association (NEHA) Inc. organizes a variety of social and cultural events, including but not limited to:
Local community members, particularly those of Bangladeshi and Asian immigrant backgrounds, take part in our events, with opportunities for children to showcase their native culture and language through poetry, folk music, and classical dance. Events are typically held in city-permitted public schools, parks, libraries, and public/private rental halls in Connecticut. Activities are organized around significant occasions, including Hindu religious festivals, Bangla New Year, and national days, with approximately 6 to 10 events held annually. Local community businesses and participant donations help fund our events. Our members volunteer their time and efforts, often outside of their regular jobs, to serve the organization without any monetary compensation.
